Hey there, Pollywog!
Today I’d like to introduce another regular feature, and one that I’m especially excited about: Fantastic Finds.
Like a lot of polymaths, I spend plenty of time on the Internet. I read blogs, I watch videos. I pin things to my various Pinterest boards. It might look like aimless puttering to the outside world, but to me, it’s a whole lot more than that.*
It’s research. It helps me explore my interests and answer specific questions I’m having, like is there a better way to re-root all these dolls??? It turns out, there is.
It’s inspiration. It gives me ideas for new projects to try and interests to pursue… like art journaling. It shows me how other people think and create and solve problems, which makes me want to create more and think better.
It’s fun. It brings a sense of wonder and play to my life with brightly painted furniture and every spinach artichoke recipe ever. As far as I’m concerned, there can never be enough wonder in the world.**
But also? It’s community. I know, it sounds corny, but hear me out. Admiring awesome things is great, but what I really love is using them to connect with other people.
To say… hey, you make awesome stuff! This person makes awesome stuff, too. You should be friends. Or… you like dolls and beads, too? And you want to combine them? Let’s start a Pinterest board!
And that’s why I want to share the best of what I find with you, my Pollywog pal. I hope these links will help, inspire, and delight you as much as they have me. So without further ado, here are my latest Fantastic Finds:
